For this piece, we were given a bunch of models and told to make a scene one might find on a child's table. For me, Legos have always been about making these outlandish stories that defy genre. Cowboys with jetpacks, undersea aliens, and Jedi in medieval castles were common, so I used the lego models to set the scene for an Old-West-style Starwars showdown.
Credit Where Credit's Due
With the exception of my sweet Lego lightsaber, all models were created by Todd Fechter. The book is Proven Guilty by Jim Butcher. The textures for the shirts and faces of the Lego figures were photographed from actual Legos. The painting in the background, although you can't really see it, is Rene Magritte's "This is Not a Pipe". Crayons and Legos are copyrights of their respective companies. Please don't sue me.
